For Bullet Proof Artist KARSSENBERG-GREIDANUS designed a series of garments in bullet proof material. This collection was made for Jonas Staal’s stay in Johannesburg SouthAfrica as artist in residence. He visitedJohannesburg in July and August in 2010 with writer and philosopher Vincent van Gerven Oei.
By means of a series of garments Staal and KG researched the paradoxical nature of the safety industry and the feeling of safety of the wearer. They did this by slightly exposing the neon yellow bulletproof material in the details, thus making the invisible visible.
A free booklet has been published that presents photographic material, as well as a written reflection  by Van Gerven Oei upon the project’s functioning in a socially and politically charged context.
